Taurus 17B Tracker Review

During the past couple of years, Taurus International has introduced several innovative and useful handguns, and there is no sign that they are letting up. The year 2002 industry awards for manufacturer of the year have been bestowed upon Taurus for their willingness to listen to what shooters want, and then filling that need quickly with quality products. One of their latest products is the new Tracker revolver chambered for the newest rimfire cartridge on the market, the .17 Hornady Magnum Rimfire.

There’s a new rimfire kid on the block and from the start it took off like wild fire. This little hot rod started when Hornady necked down a great cartridge to start with, necking down the .22 WMR to hold a 17-grain, 17-caliber bullet. This new rimfire appeared at the 2002 SHOT Show in Las Vegas and things have been moving along briskly since.

I have always wanted a revolver chambered in .17 HMR so when I had a chance to buy
a new Taurus Tracker Model 17SS6 .17 HMR I couldn't resist!

My .17 is done in matt finish stainless and has a 6 and 1/2 inch barrel, a seven round
cylinder, transfer bar safety, fixed front sight, and a windage/elevation
adjustable rear sight.
