I like it, but I like the Tracker series revolvers. They are well built and fairly priced for what they are. That's not saying you're getting a cheap gun for cheap money...it's a great gun for the price. Gunblast has a nice review of the 992 (same gun with .22lr cylinder, included). I've never shot (nor seen, for that matter) the 6.5" SS model, but I have shot a 4" SS one. It had no porting, yet it had very little recoil. Can't really say the muzzle blast was very little, but I suspect it would be less with the 6.5" model. Seems to be a desirable model.
Hi there! Would like to hear from any Taurus owners re: the Taurus 991, and / or (read on for my ignorant question) one of their other Tracker series .22 9-shot revolvers.
So I was wondering if any of you revolver efficianados have any experience with the Taurus Tracker in a 22 Mag.I am selling my Kimber for cash and do not really want to replace it with another semi-auto,so I am toying with the idea of adding another Taurus revolver in this mighty mite caliber.Either in a 4 or 6 inch barrel variety.Just something to toy with at the range and possibly small varmints someday.Anyone here own or have any thoughts on this particular pistol.Opinions welcome.I already own 2 Taurus revolvers which I am very happy with, and soon will start reloading again,so I really dont want to add another caliber I have to buy components for.
