The 7-shot 970 (22LR) and 971 (22 WMR) are built on the Tracker (i.e. "compact") Taurus frame. Are the 9-shot versions 990 (22LR) and 991 (22 WMR) built on the same Tracker frame or are they built on a larger frame? If they are built on a larger frame, is it the same frame size as the Raging Bull? Or, is it some frame size in between a Tracker and a Raging Bull?
to shoot it yet. This is my 2nd Taurus after about 15 years of buying the 1st. Didn't really have a good experience with that model 66 (.357 mag) I surely look forward to this one being a better gun. It looks to be well put together and its lines are very appealing. It's hefty enough to feel rock solid when you hold it and aim it at something. I've read good reviews from magazines but... Here in TFL you can get so much valuable -non-biased information. Those of you who've had any experiences with the Taurus .22 Mag. revolvers...Can you please share?
